3 Women's Motorcycle Jackets for Every Kind of Rider

Every woman who rides knows the feeling, standing in front of your wardrobe before a ride, wondering if what you're wearing is actually going to work for where you're going. Too warm, too stiff, not quite right. It's a problem that shouldn't exist, and honestly, it's one we built this brand to solve.

At Spada, our design team are riders themselves. Every jacket starts with a real question: what does a woman actually need on a bike today? Not a scaled-down version of a men's jacket, not a compromise. Something designed from scratch with female riders in mind. The result is a range where there's a jacket for every kind of journey, and three in particular that we think every woman who rides should know about.

The Lula: Going the Distance

If you're the type who plans routes the night before, who doesn't turn back when the sky goes grey, the Lula was made for you.

Constructed from 5K/3K waterproof and breathable fabric with fully sealed seams, the Lula is a serious technical jacket that doesn't feel serious to wear. It's lightweight enough that you forget it's doing the hard work, keeping you dry through changeable British weather while allowing enough airflow that you're not overheating on a long stretch of A-road. CE-certified Level AA protection gives you real peace of mind in the saddle, and the female-specific cut means that protection actually sits where it should on your body, not shifted around from a unisex pattern.

The detachable hood means it works just as well when you've parked up and you're wandering around a village you've never been to before. Available in black and port red.

Best for: touring, long weekend rides, unpredictable weather

The Bella: Everyday Rider

The Bella is the jacket you reach for on a Tuesday morning without thinking twice. It's built for the rider whose commute is non-negotiable whatever the weather, who needs a jacket that works hard every day without making life complicated.

The quilted waterproof construction keeps you warm and dry without bulk, and the polar fleece lining means cold morning starts don't have to be miserable. Five-piece CE-certified armour, shoulders, elbows, and back, gives you proper protection for daily riding, while the detachable hood adds a layer of versatility for when you've locked up the bike and you're walking the rest of the way. Reflective branding keeps you visible in low light, which matters more than people realise on a winter commute.

It's a jacket that looks just as comfortable off the bike as on it. The quilted finish means it reads as a stylish everyday layer, not obviously motorcycle gear, which, depending on your office, matters. Available in black and port red.

Best for: daily commuting, all-weather riding, city riding

The Blade: Relaxed Riding

Sometimes you're not planning a route or battling the weather. Sometimes you just want to get on the bike, no fuss, and go. That's where the Blade comes in.

Built from 4-way stretch performance polyester bonded to a soft micro-fleece lining, the Blade feels like your favourite hoodie, because that's exactly what it's designed to feel like. But underneath that casual exterior, it's carrying CE Level AA certification and five-piece TetraHex armour at the shoulders, elbows and back. The stay-flat hood sits correctly under a helmet, the thumb loops keep the cuffs in place, and the internal belt loops mean it stays put on the bike rather than riding up at speed. It does everything quietly, without making a big deal of itself.

The Blade comes in both a zip-up and pullover version, and in four colourways, black, turbulence grey, coral blue, and port red, making it the most versatile piece in the range. Unisex fit, so it works for every body. Wear it on the bike in summer, layer under a shell in autumn, throw it on for a coffee stop in between.

Best for: casual rides, summer riding, everyday urban use, layering

Three jackets, three different riders, one thing in common: they were all designed by our in-house team, by people who ride, with women specifically in mind. No cutting corners, no shrinking a men's pattern and calling it done.

Whether you're heading out before sunrise to beat the traffic or taking the long way home on a Sunday afternoon, there's a Spada jacket built for that ride. If you're still not sure which one is yours, our team is always happy to help, drop us a message and we'll point you in the right direction.
